MSWSN in Action!

Macro Social Work Student Network students are doing awesome things across the country! Check out some of the innovative and powerful work MSWSN chapters have been working on:

  • At Silberman School of Social Work - Hunter College, 2nd year MSWSN students organized a day of learning outside of the classroom for over 350 students. With over 40 sessions, events, and trainings, students were immersed in macro social work from 10am to 10pm.
  • The MSWSN chapter from University of Tennessee - Knoxville attended Social Work Day at the United Nations! Twenty-two undergraduate and graduate students traveled to NYC and were among 700 social work students in attendance. The students got to see Director of New York City's Mayor Bill de Blasio's Office of Sustainability, Mark Chambers, and the permanent representative of Kiribati to the United Nations, His Excellency Ambassador Teburoro Tito speak. A formative and enriching experience, UT-Knoxville's MSWSN leadership team did an excellent job organizing the trip!
