The challenges of "Moving at the Speed of Trust": How women navigate new public management dynamics in power-based community organizations.

On January 23rd, ACOSA and the Social Work Equity Campaign co-hosted a lively discussion on social work licensure, specifically issues of racism, classism, and ableism; the need (or not) for licensure; and the costs to both practitioner and service users when licensure is denied.

In this interactive workshop, we discuss our new ACOSA Community Practice Certificate that provides social work students and alumni an opportunity to earn a national credential in community and macro practice. We will review and discuss the framework and requirements for the certificate within the context of participants’ respective schools.
