The Special Commission today is a collaboration of multiple partners and stakeholders. It is comprised of 30 commissioners, who are leading macro social work scholars and practitioners. These commissioners lead the Special Commission’s five Action Clusters, which work under the oversight of the Leadership Committee to expand and promote the status of macro practice in the field of social work. The work of these Action Clusters are supplemented by multiple task forces and working groups who are responsible for special projects and initiatives. Special Commission is supported by our Macro Investor Programs, schools of social work who have partnered with us through their financial contributions under the leadership of their wonderful deans, directors, and department chairs. The Special Commission is very grateful to the 60 Macro Investor Programs who have supported us since 2013, many of whom have given year after year. Visit our Macro Investors page to find out how your university can become a Macro Investor Program.
The Special Commission also has the support of 400+ Network Members and Allies, who contribute to the Special Commission, who receive regular macro social work updates and help us through providing their time, creativity, and connections.
