2018 ACOSA Award Nominations


One way ACOSA supports community practice is to lift up emerging, outstanding, and long-time contributors to macro social work. Nominate a worthy candidate for one of the awards listed below.

Deadline September 21, 2018 for nominations. Awards will be given at the Annual Program Meeting of the Council on Social Work Education in Orlando, Florida on November 10, 2018.


  • Career Achievement Award: Honors the lifetime contributions of a person in the field.
  • Outstanding Practitioner Award: Honors the significant contribution to a community of a BSW or MSW level macro practitioner.
  • Emerging Scholar Award: Honors a recent Ph.D. who is doing meritorious scholarship in the field.
  • Doctoral Student Award: Honors a current Ph.D. student who is doing meritorious scholarship in the field.
  • Outstanding Student Award: Honors the contribution of a BSW or MSW student who has been involved in a community or organizational practice currently or in the past.
