Alice K. Johnson is a Professor at the Jane Addams College of Social Work, University of Illinois--Chicago. Her research interests include social welfare policy, community-based practice, and homelessness and low-income housing policy. Her current work includes a grant to establish the first-ever master’s degree in social work in Ethiopia. Dr. Johnson is an Editor of the Journal of Community Practice. In 2002, Dr. Johnson was appointed Coordinator of Operations & Administration of the Association for Community Organization and Social Administration (ACOSA). She also served as Treasurer from 1998-2001 and Chair from 1996-1998. Alice is a member of the National Board of Advisors of Influencing State Policy (INFLUENCE).
